Don’t worry White Men I’m not taking all your White Women.
Being an Asian guy married to a Caucasian girl I would have to say is like any other relationship people go through, but with some obstacles. Some might be cultural, but as long as both partners have an open mind then it should be no problem. Of course, being in an interracial relationship takes an open mind to begin with. I would have to say the main obstacle that I had to get used to would be the stares and glares that I see in the corner of my eye as my wife and I walked through crowded shopping malls or any other outside venue.
It’s funny because most of the stares come from white males giving me this look like, “Why are you with our women” attitude. I never really understood that logic, because you know damn well he will be all over some fine Asian girl in a heartbeat. I think that’s called a ‘Double Standard’. The question that comes to mind is “What, I’m not allowed to mingle with your women, but you can do what you will with my Asian sisters?” I say get over it and get lost because we don’t have room on this earth for your bigotry. She likes me. I like her. That’s the way it’s going to be.
So if you see an Asian guy with a white girl or any other interracial couple for that matter, be polite and don’t stare.
